10 FREE MONEY SAVING APPS THAT WILL COMPLETELY BLOW YOUR MIND AND SAVE YOU $1000S

If you are looking for the latest, free money-saving apps that will save you money automatically, read on.

I’ve tried close to 100 apps that claim to save money with your phone, but most of them were underwhelming or scammy.  I’ve discarded the ineffective apps and narrowed them down to the 10 best free money-saving apps available.

Using a combination of those apps has saved me $1,000’s of dollars since the beginning of 2019 which I’m extremely grateful for.

However, I don’t want to be the only one who’s saved money for free. I believe in sharing prosperity. This is why I decided to make this list.

Want to know the best part?

You can download all of these apps to your phone and start saving money right now!

10 Best Free Money Saving Apps

Dosh

The days of relying on physical coupons and searching for discounts are over!

Sure, you could waste a bunch of time manually searching and cutting out coupons, rebates, and other discounts (then remembering to actually use them). Or, you could just use Dosh!

Dosh is a completely free app that automatically gives you cash back from your purchases at popular retailers, restaurants, and stores by applying coupons, rebates, and other discounts on your behalf. It really is that straightforward.

In fact, once you take a minute or two to set up Dosh, the only time you’ll be opening it will be to cash out.

How do you set it up?

There are three easy steps:

Download the app here, fill out your profile, and link the debit or credit card you use for your regular purchases, so it can search for coupons, rebates, and other discounts on those purchases.

  • If you’re concerned about giving your credit card, don’t be. The app is SSL encrypted, and they don’t store your credit card information since it’s tokenized with Braintree. Not to mention, credit cards themselves have top notch security and fraud protection.

Did I mention that cashing out on Dosh is a breeze? You can have your money sent to your Paypal account or even directly to your bank account fast. How I wish I knew about Dosh sooner! It’s so convenient, and as of this writing, has saved me on average of $83 every month!

Drop

Looking to save even more on your everyday shopping?

You have to check out the free Drop App right now.

Drop turns your credit or debit card into a gift card earning machine! All you have to do is link the debit or credit card you use to make your purchases. Then, select 5 of your favorite stores. As you spend money at your 5 chosen stores, you will accumulate points that can be redeemed for gift cards of your choice.

It’s really that simple.

The only time you’ll be opening this app once it’s set up is to collect your free gift cards! Drop is similar to Dosh and Pei in its complete simplicity and passive income potential.

And, get this. All three apps can be used together! This lets you amplify your savings even more.

Pei

Pei is one of my favorite free money-saving apps. It’s a relatively new automatic cashback app that works just like Dosh. You simply download the app to your phone, link your credit or debit card, and you’re good to go! Pei also has a lot of stores and brands that other apps don’t.

One cool aspect of the Pei app is that you can withdraw in Bitcoin in addition to cash. This makes cashing out a breeze and lightning fast!

The best part of all is that Pei stacks with other money-saving apps! What that means is you can use Pei at the same time as Dosh and Drop for example and earn even more cash back.

This strategy nets me almost $150 in savings a month without any effort on my part!

Update! Pei is now offering new members $15 just to download their app and link a card! This is incredibly generous and won’t last long.

Download Pei now while they’re still giving this generous $15 sign up bonus.

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is one of the easiest ways to both save money and make extra money from your phone fast.

When I was in a financial crunch last year, Swagbucks was one of the only apps I turned to for bringing in more money.

Swagbucks lets you redeem lucrative sign-up offers and snag cash back at popular retailers like Amazon, eBay, and Walmart to name a few. Once you do so, you will be given Swagbucks’ digital currency which can easily be converted into cash or free gift cards.

My two favorite ways to cash out is with prepaid visa cash gift cards or cash sent directly to your PayPal account.

And, since Swagbucks is completely free to use, there’s no reason not to give it a try. You’ll be glad you signed up.

Paribus

One of the first free money-saving apps I’ve used is called Paribus.

Paribus is a free price protection app that gives you refunds on price drops from your purchases on autopilot. As an example, if you bought a pair of shoes for $99 and next month it drops down to $89, Paribus will collect that $10 difference and send it to you automatically. They do collect a small percentage of that difference, but you’re getting money you’d likely never know about!

It’s true. You could do this yourself, but it’s a fool’s errand. Think of the time you’d waste having to manually search for price drops on every single purchase (including things like groceries) and then taking the receipt back to the store to get a refund. Don’t do that. Paribus will do that all for you automatically.

There are a dozen other apps that can look for refunds. But personally, I’ve gotten the most money back with Paribus. Considering they’re partnered with more retailers than other price protection apps, it’s not surprising.

Ibotta

Do you shop at grocery stores, malls, and electronic stores often? Or even a little?

This free money-saving phone app called Ibotta gives you cash back on your everyday purchases made in-store.

Ibotta will save you money on electronics, clothing, groceries, college supplies, and items from just about any other category for your lifestyle.

To save money with Ibotta, all you have to do is scan your receipt into the app using your phone’s camera and submit. It takes seconds, and it’s really easy!

Rakuten

If you shop online without using a free cashback website like Rakuten, you are throwing your money away.

With Rakuten (formerly known as Ebates), saving $100’s of dollars or even $1000s (if you’re a heavy shopper) over the course of several months is really easy. My savings from Rakuten have racked up to $683 dollars, and I’ve only been using it for 7 months.

To get started, all you do is sign up, browse your favorite stores through Rakuten’s online portal, and make purchases as you would normally.

Rakuten gives you up to 15% in cash back from more than 400 popular stores and brands such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, and eBay to name a few. Plus, they are giving new users $10 when they spend their first $25 at any of the brands or stores. What’s not to like?

GiftCardGranny is the largest, most trustworthy marketplace for buying gift cards from your favorite stores and brand at a cheap price.

It’s the perfect money-saver if you’re a frugal shopper and like being smart with your money. You can use gift cards at your favorite stores instead of cash and net big savings overtime.

Do you have any gift cards that are collecting dust? Well, you can sell them on GiftCardGranny and make side money as well.

Plus, they’ll give you $1 just to sign up for an account.

Cashing out is a breeze. They give you an option to cash out same day by going to one of their physical marketplaces. You can also cash out online which takes a few days.

GetUpside

Drive a car?

Then, you can save money fast.

GetUpside will give you 25 cents per gallon when you snap a photo of your gas station receipt using their app. It’s really easy.

You shouldn’t scoff at those 25 cent rebates. They add up pretty quickly especially if you drive a lot or do side hustles like Lyft or Instacart.

Bonus: Digit: Artificial Intelligence that Save You Money Automatically

This next app isn’t completely free. However, it has saved me money and that’s why I’m including it as a bonus!

Let’s face it. Saving money can often be tedious and many of us forget to do it on a regular basis.

Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be that way. You can use Digit to do the saving for you.

Here’s how it works. Digit uses artificial intelligence to analyze your spending habits and automatically budget a safe amount of money for you in a high- interest-bearing, FDIC-insured bank account.

It’s truly a set it and forget it kind of app for saving money. It’s free for 30 days and costs $2.99 a month. but it’s well worth it if you spend frequently and are looking to automate your money-saving habits. You’ll find that over time it pays for itself based on the money you’d otherwise not save and the interest you gain on that money!
