Did you know that there are over $40 billion dollars in unclaimed money that’s being held by state governments?

I recently found this out and was quite surprised at that amount.

If a business or other institution owes you money but for some reason can’t get it to you, they send it to the state. The state keeps a list of what money belongs to whom and requires claims to be filed in order to receive it.

Besides checking your credit score for free, Credit Karma can search for unclaimed money and retrieve on your behalf. How is that for an easy money hack?

All you have to do is create an account, go to the unclaimed money section of the website, input your basic information, and confirm your identity. They will do the rest.
